Scaffolding delivered by boat for Narooma Bridge concrete repairs

South Coast, NSW

Essential concrete repair works are underway at the historic Narooma Bridge, with specialist scaffolding access designed and installed by Instant Access to support the project for Transport for NSW.

The bridge, a vital connection for the local community and travellers along the Princes Highway, required a highly tailored access solution to provide safe access to fenders and the underside of the bridge where crews are carrying out repair work around the concrete piers.

To overcome this unique access challenge the Instant Access installation team transported scaffold equipment by boat to reach the work area. From there, crews erected a secure system that allowed safe and efficient access to areas that would otherwise have been impossible to reach.

This approach not only enabled critical concrete repair works to progress, but also minimised disruption for road users above, keeping the bridge open while ensuring worker safety below.
